About Jacquet River School

Jacquet River School, with 74 awesome students enrolled, is a place where achievements are celebrated, whether academic, athletic, or personal. Each month, we hold a school assembly where two students from each class are recognized with the Tiger Pride Award for demonstrating hard work and determination in reaching their academic goals, as well as the Student of the Month award for showing kindness and compassion to their peers and staff. In addition, we celebrate positive behavior with weekly “Caught Doing Good” ballots, where two students are drawn and announced during the morning announcements.

We are proud to maintain an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all students. Our commitment to restorative practices helps resolve conflicts in a thoughtful and kind manner, encouraging empathy and respect. Jacquet River School also enjoys strong community connections, with valuable partnerships with local businesses, the municipality, and service projects. One of our notable achievements this year was the refurbishment of our outdoor basketball court, made possible by the support of our school district, the Village of Belledune, and our local MLA. With the help of our dedicated volunteer coaches, all students at JRS have the opportunity to participate in basketball, further building our sense of community and teamwork.
